Movement & Poetry
Explore how breath, meditation, movements and writing rituals can stimulate healing and deepen your connection with your inner voice.
We will begin with gentle yoga led by Cheryl Tan while listening to Herzy Hoisini read poems on resilience by a featured poet, followed by writing exercises on how we can attain a link between movements and our state of being; eventually nourishing a space to heal from our daily struggle in life. Through deep-dive and seated meditation, we drink in our inner poetry and connect to our depth as we identify triggers and reprogram our system with the aid of movements to rechannel our energies to areas that have been weakened by our daily goings and environment that detracts us from our inner purpose in life
This is a free event open to youth aged 15 - 35.
Please bring a yoga mat, a journal/notebook, and a pen.
